RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT ON ADVANCED GRAPHITE MATERIALS

Abstract

Results from activities to develop improved materials in the graphite and carbon field for missile and astronautics applications are reviewed. Progress is reported on new grades of graphite which extend the range of physical properties and on narrowing the spread of properties within a given grade. Preliminary data are included on numerous physical properties of the various graphite materials. (Author)
