EVIDENCE FOR ASCENDING FIBERS IN THE PYRAMIDAL TRACT OF THE CAT

Abstract

In chronic cerveau isole preparations in which the basis pedunculi was the only collection of fibers connecting the two brain parts, it was found possible to evoke short lasting EEG ctivation. These results confirm recent anato ical findings which indicate that there are ascending fibers coursing with the pyramidal tracts. (Author)
