IMPROVED METHOD OF DETERMINATION OF AMMONIUM PERCHLORATE IN CASTING POWDER

Abstract

A potentiometric method applicable to casting powders and propellants for titration of chloride ion produced by reduction of ammonium perchlorate in a Parr or Boas bomb is described. A Beckman model K automatic titrator is utilized. This procedure reduces the operator variability experienced in the Mohr method. (Author)
