STUDY OF DETONATION BEHAVIOR OF SOLID PROPELLANTS

Abstract

Continued work is discussed on the problem of the solid to gas phase change in a detonation process and its effect on computational procedure. Examples of computed waves in TNT are presented. Treatment of double base type propellants is discussed. Reaction in such materials can be describe by a model which is completely analogous to the grain burning model. (Author)
