A VARIABLE THRESHOLD MODEL FOR SIGNAL DETECTION

Abstract

A N LYSIS OF O SIMPL DETEC IO PERI ENT IN R OF Stimulus Sampling heory is presented. The type of study to be considered is a choice experiment for which the experimenter has established, and explained to the subject, a one-to-one correspondence between the response set (A1, A2,...,Ar) and the stimulus presentation set (S1, S2,...,Sr) . On each trial a stimulus is presented and the subject attempts to ide tify t e sti ulus by making the appropriate response. (Author)
