THE OPTICAL AND ELECTRICAL PROPERTIES OF SINGLE CRYSTAL TELLURIUM

Abstract

The results of measurements of twelve galvanomagnetic coefficients of tellurium as a function of temperature are presented. Based on these results, as well as the optical absorption measurements of the previous quarterly report, an energy band structure is postulated as the culmination of our first year's work on tellurium. This band structure differs from those previously proposed by Callen and Reitz which ar not in accord with the experimental data for our ighperfection cryst ls. (Author)
