EVALUATION OF THE PRODUCIBILITY OF TWO NEW TITANIUM BASE SHEET ALLOYS, TI-7A1-12ZR AND TI-5A1-5ZR-5SN
Abstract
Three hot rolled sheets 0.050 ga x 30 x 72 inches of Heat XT-70030 (Ti-5Al-5Zr-5Sn) were produced and mill processed almost to completion. Testing of these sheets was performed during mill processing as scheduled. Heat XT-70030 was analyzed to determine chemical composition and was found to be uniform, and within the nominal limits specified for the Ti-5Al-5Zr-5Sn alloy type. (Author)
