Study of Noise Properties of Gas Discharges. Volume I.

Abstract

The results obtained in the study of electromagnetic radiation from gaseous plasmas indicate strongly that reliable data can be obtained, provided sufficient care is taken in eliminating systematical errors. The measurements are carried out in the frequency range 100-2000 mc and concern the transition of a plasma from a transparent to an opaque condition, the frequency spectrum of the plasma radiation, and the comparison of results with the data obtained with the conventional Langmuir probe.
