THE RELATIVE MERITS OF SOME GAS FILLERS FOR GYRO-MOTOR HOUSINGS

Abstract

Air is considered a natural gas filler for gyromotor housings. In connection with this, other gas fillers are examined. There are two basic requirements for a filler: the lowest aerodynamic resistance to the rotation of the rotor and the best gyro-motor coolant. Hydrogen and helium are the optimum fillers. (Author)
