DESIGN PRINCIPLES FOR AN ACCURATE LARGE-APERTURE TRACKING ANTENNA

Abstract

The combination of techniques, some of which are novel, appear to make possible the building of fully steerable antennas of large size which achieve high resolution and accurate performance at a lower cost. Also, these antennas can be made to track through the zenith with only 2AXES OF ROTATION. The study presented here is preliminary in nature and describes principles rather than presenting detailed engineering solutions.
