ANTENNA GROUP AN/TLA-8 (XE-2)

Abstract

Three service test models were developed which incorporated the latest in the state-of-the-art dealing with planar log periodic antennas. A sophisticated but simple vertical erection mast system was evolved which is capable of raising or lowering the antenna on a tripod or when mounted on a stationary, standard military vehicle. In certain areas, some of the specification requirements were exceeded. The antenna group AN/TLA8(XE-2) service test models provided are suitable for field testing. (Author)
