A CLASS OF ADAPTIVE CONTROL SYSTEMS WITH SINUSOIDAL PARAMETER PERTURBATION

Abstract

Research concerns the development of analysis methods and their application to a class of adaptive control systems. The analysis of the slow system, it is observed, is relatively easy to perform, because of the nature of the system and because of the resulting simplifications which can be made. In the analysis of the fast system, however, these assumptions were not applicable, and, a new analysis method had to be devised. The analysis methods presented are adequately suited to this class of adaptive control systems with respect to specifying the nature of the error signal (the performance criterion). Once this error signal is specified, conventional techniques may be used to evaluate system stability and performance. (Author)
