FLOW OF ELECTRICALLY CONDUCTING GAS IN A CHANNEL WITH A TRAVELING MAGNETIC FIELD

Abstract

The study considers problems associated with estimating the possibility of substituting for a bladed turbine a magnetogasdynamic device in which the thermal energy as it is liberated during burning is partially converted to mechanical or directly to electrical energy. Such a conversion is possible during the flow of an electrically conducting gas in a moving magnetic field. (Author)
