PENDULUM TESTS OF TWO CRUISE FOILS AND VARIOUS STRUTS

Abstract

RESEARCH IS PRESENTED ON SUPERCAVITATING HYDOFOIL DESIGNS. Tests of various hydofoils and stuts ae presented. A cambered paabolic and a thin dela foi were tested. LIFT, DRAG AND PITCHING MOMENT DATA WERE RECORDED. The thin delta foi was tested a both high and low cavitation numers and the cambered paabolic foil was tested with various flap designs. nother phase of testing inclued studies of parabolic forebody strut with and without tapered afterodies. In all, 6 different strt were tested. One paraolic stut wa tested with air bown from its bse. (uthor)
