INVESTIGATION OF INTERACTION OF INTERSTITIAL IMPURITIES WITH DEFECTS IN BCC METALS

Abstract

Research was conducted on the interaction of interstitial impurities with dislocations. An extensive investigation of the cold-work internal friction peak due to N and C in deformed alphaFe was made. Self-association of interstitials in Fe was also studied. This investigation was concerned with the departure from randomness of solid solutions of N and C in Fe. (Author)
