DEVELOPMENT OF IMPROVED HIGH-STRENGTH PREIMPREGNATED MATERIALS FOR FILAMENT-WOUND ROCKET MOTOR CASES

Abstract

Test were made on experimental glass for both dry glass and pre-preg for Lot 1 and the control glass Lot 37. Lots 1 and 3 of experimental glass had strand tensile strengths of over 340,000 psi, which is more than 10% higher than for the control glass. NOL-ring and chamber test results were about the same for both pre-preg and dryglass versions of the experimental and control glasses. (Author)
