QUANTUM DETECTOR FOR MEASUREMENT OF EED BRIDGE WIRE TEMPERATURE RISE

Abstract

The construction and testing of an experimental model squib quantum detector is discussed. A second experimental model was also started. In this model, the mirror and the detector was left uncemented so that alignment could be made by electrical means. Certain design changes wereALSO MADE. Two holes were drilled through the squib plug and the Microdot shielded cables were cemented into these holes. The electrical connections from the detector and the vibrator coil could be made with fine wires soldered to the Microdot cable, which was rigidly cemented into the plug. (Author)
