BALLISTIC PROTECTIVE BUOYANT MATERIALS

Abstract

The effectiveness of water repellent finishes on personnel armor fabrics was determined. The protective coatings are also used to keep solvents in the fabric during dry cleaning so as not to affect the buoyancy of the fabric. Ballistic tests on the fabrics after treatment are also reported. (LS-PL).
