MEASUREMENT OF THE CORRELATION BETWEEN THE AMPLITUDE AND FREQUENCY FLUCTUATIONS IN A REFLEX KLYSTRON

Abstract

The interference method, used to measure the amplitude and frequency fluctuations in radiofrequency oscillators, is used to study the correlation dependence between the amplitude and frequency fluctuations in a reflex klystron with a three-centimeter range. Experimental graphs are given for the correlation function at several different voltage values on the reflector plate of the klystron; these correspond to the generation refion with the maximum generating power.
