CONSIDERATION OF STATE-OF-THE-ART OF DISPLAY EQUIPMENT FOR USE IN A TEAS SIMULATION RESEARCH FACILITY

Abstract

The state-of-the-art of display techniques, equipments, and computers is discussed. Such considerations are made to facilitate the objective of implementing a research facility for evaluating TEAS (threat evaulation and action selection) concepts. Hardware considerations are presented in as general a manner as possible consistent with the intended use in a TSRF (TEAS simu ation research facility). Specifically discussed are open-loop response as affected by user requirements, display equipment characteristics, and computer equipment characteristics. Some discussion of closed-loop facility response is included. (Author)
