A SERIES EXPANSION OF THE TRUE ANOMALY

Abstract

A series expansion of the true anomaly as a Fourier series in the mean anomaly is derived. The coefficients are in a form different from Bessel's representation. However, it appears that for practical application there is no special advantage to either form. (Author)
