THE DESIGN OF FUNDAMENTAL MODE MILITARY QUARTZ RESONATORS FOR THE HC-18/U HOLDER 3 TO 12 MC
Abstract
General design and production data are presented for fundamental mode resonators in the 3 to 12 mc range which are to be mounted in the HC-18/U type holder. Two plate configurations were investigated: plane-parallel, and plano-convex. Satisfactory results were obtained with planeparallel plates at frequencies down to 9 mc, and with plano-convex plates down to 3.5 mc. Below 3.5 mc, the results with plano-convex plates were marginal. (Author)
