ON THE INTEGRATION OF A SYSTEM OF GEOSTROPHICALLY BALANCED PROGNOSTIC EQUATIONS

Abstract

An integration of the balanced equations i outlined to improve the baroclinic forecasts. It is intended to try to compensate the complexity of the solution of the boundary value problem in space, by a simplification of the time-integration part of the problem. The latter will be accomplished by using quasi-Lagrangian methods of time-integration. (Author)
