ASCH BEARING ANALYZER

Abstract

A prototype bearing analyzer for measuring torque, vibration, and airborne noise was constructed. The virtues an shortcomings of this instru ent are listed with respect to the original design requirements. These design requirements are recapitulated, the problem restated, and a survey of instrumentation having some applicability undertaken. Suggestions are made as to the development of appropriate instruentation. A comprehensive summary and analysis of parameters pertinent to a realistic assessment of bearing quality is appended.
