AN AID FOR FORECASTING THE TYPE OF PRECIPITATION AT WEBB AFB, TEXAS
Abstract
A scatter diagram was developed to aid weather officers at Webb AFB, Texas, in forecasting precipitation as rain, freezing rain, or snow. The parameters of the method are free air temperature and 1000-500 millibar thickness.
