LAMINAR CHROMIUM ELECTRODEPOSITS

Abstract

Steel specimens were laminar (discrete layers or bands) chromium plated and adhesion tested by the high speed rotor technique. Four different pretreatments of the steal prior to plating were evaluated as to their effect on the adhesion of the plate to the basis metal. Corrosion tests were performed on laminar and nonlaminar chromium plated specimens.
