RESEARCH ON SOLID PROPELLANT IGNITABILITY AND IGNITER CHARACTERISTICS

Abstract

The ignition was studied of small internal burning solid propellant grains in a rocket motor, utilizing hot combustion products from an upstream gas rocket to test the applicability of the concept that ignition is a runaway gas phase reaction. (Author)
