REVISION TO THE STRONG AND GUSTY SURFACE WIND STUDY FOR TINKER AFB, OKLAHOMA

Abstract

A second revision is presented of the original objective aid for forecasting strong and gusty southerly surface winds at Tinker AFB, dated December 1958. The first revision was dated March 1960. The problem concerns the forecasting of strong southerly winds with accompanying gusts of 30 knots or greater during the windy months of February through April. (Author)
