RESEARCH INVESTIGATIONS IN THE PHYSICAL CHEMISTRY AND METALLURGY OF SEMICONDUCTING MATERIALS

Abstract

The semiconductor material studied was elemental Bo. The objective was the production of semiconductor grade Bo in single crystal form and the determination of it's physical, chemical and electrical properties. Thin films of Bo on porcelain and on BoN substrates were produced and evaluated as thermistors. These evaluations carried out over a temperature range from 25 to 210 C indicated that the porcelain is superior as a substrate. (Author)
