CONSTITUTIVE EQUATIONS FOR THERMOVISCOELASTICITY

Abstract

Work on thermodynamics of elastic and viscoelastic media is presented. The internal energy of the medium is assumed to depend on entropy, specific volume, and elastic strains, and thermodynamically correct forms of the heat conduction and linear constitutive equations are obtained. (Author)
