REVISED METHOD OF THICKNESS DESIGN FOR FLEXIBLE HIGHWAY PAVEMENTS AT MILITARY INSTALLATIONS

Abstract

A method of design is presented, by which the effects of repetitions of loadings and of traffic by any combination of standard vehicles can be combined in a reasonable manner sufficient to permit their consideration in the design of flexible highway pavements. It is recommended that the method of design presented be adopted for use in design of flexible highway pavements at military installations. The method is also commended to other interested agencies and individuals as a worthy supplement to their design procedures. (Author)
