INFLUENCE OF LARGE DOSES OF PYRIDOXINE HYDROCHLORIDE ON THE CONVULSIGENIC ACTIVITY OF UDMH IN MONKEYS

Abstract

Earlier experiments, based on the finding that 1,1-dimethylhydrazine (UDMH) inhibited certain vitamin B6-requiring enzymes, showed that pyridoxine hydrochloride was very effective in either prophylaxis or therapy of UDMH-induced convulsions in rats. The current experiments show that pyridoxine hydrochloride is also an efficient antidote in monkeys. (Author)
