ATMOSPHERIC TURBULENCE AS A SOURCE OF DISTURBANCES FOR AUTOMATIC CONTROL SYSTEMS OF AIRCRAFT

Abstract

Methods for an analytic description of atmospheric turbulence in a form permitting the use of the obtained data for analysis of the dynamics of an aircraft-autopilot system. Results of treating the data of the experimental investigation of turbulence by means of a new instrument which was developed with participation of the author are cited. I T IS SHOWN THAT THE RES LTS OF THE EXPERIMENTAL INVESTIGATION AGREE SUFFICIENTLY WELL WITH THE ANALYTICAL EXPRESSIONS IN THE WORK WHICH DESCRIBE THE VELOCITY FIELD OF AIR IN A TURBULENT ATMOSPHERE.
