STUDY, DEVELOPMENT AND TESTING OF A FOG CLEARING DEVICE

Abstract

The feasibility was investigated of evaporating ground fog by breaking up the inversion ith a vertical flow of armer air from above caused by a current of ions fl wing from an electrically charged wire t the ground. A series of test were made using wires of various lengths and heights, and a detailed mathematical analysis of the results noted. Included is a comparison with earlier work on charged wires and a mathematical analysis of t e earlier results. (Author)
