MOUSE CARCINOGENICITY STUDY

Abstract

Mixtures of irradiated foods are being fed to several different strains of mice for the duration of their life. The mice are being observed grossly and studied histopathologically for the occurrence of tumors. The first six replicates of this experiment have been completed. Tabulation of the incidence of tumors present in these mice, as observed grossly, has been made. The incidence of tumors in the surviving replicates has also been presented. There is no indication in any of these results of any increase in tumor incidence hich could be ascribed to the feeding of irradiated food. (Author)
