THE PROTECTION AFFORDED BY WINDOW SCREENING MATERIALS AGAINST INTERNAL THERMAL RADIATION

Abstract

The degree of protection offered by various window materials was investigated. Eight thermal paper indicators were selected, calibrated and evaluated after A-bomb exposure, with and without screen materials. In addition, the protection factor was determined independently by spectrophotometric means. Since results of 2 methods agree, it is possible to evaluate protection of screens by transmittance measurements.
