HIGH FREQUENCY DIGITAL COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

Abstract

Research concerns the design, fabrication, reliability testing, and maintenance of airborne and ground station digital equipment which will operate with other data systems utilizing standardized message format parameters. Bandpass filters, synchronization techniques, and automatic gain control techniques are discussed in detail and a functional description of the system, illustrated with lock diagrams, is included. Progress made in the development of individual circuits is described; schematic diagrams of many of these circuits are included. A packaging philosophy, and a summary of the results of reliability testing, are given. (Author)
