A NECESSARY AND SUFFICIENT CONDITION IN THE MAXIMUM-MINIMUM THEORY OF EIGENVALUES
Abstract
A necessary and sufficient condition of the Sturm type is given for the equality in the maximumminimum theory of eigenvalues. Up to now only a sufficient condition was known. The method of intermediate problems is used. (Author)
