AN EXPERIMENTAL APPROACH TO THE STUDY OF RADICAL FORMATION AND RECOMBINATION PROCESSES

Abstract

An instrumental design was described for the irradiation of light absorbing substances and for the recording of spectra of their decomposition products in a rigid matrix at 77 K, using high pressure Hg lamps and a double-beam recording spectrophotometer. The performance of the assembly was tested by photolyzing CS2 and ethyl iodide. (Author)
