DESIGN, DEVELOP, AND EVALUATE A HIGH-POWER INTEGRAL CIRCUITED TETRODE FOR 215 MEGACYCLE OPERATION

Abstract

The design, development and evaluation of a high-power integral-circuited tetrode for 215 megacycle operation is treated. The achievement of 825 kilowatt minimum peak power output over a ten percent frequency band is the primary objective. The work in the analysis of broadband matching techniques for the input circuit, construction of the output cold-probe assembly, impedance measurements of the output rf bypass, optimization of the output response curve and modification of test equipment is detailed.
