SEMICONDUCTOR PHOTOVOLTAIC CONVERSION

Abstract

The ultilization of semiconductor alloys is studied for the possible improvement of solar cell characteristics such as efficiency, hightemperature performance and radiation resistance. The theoretical studies of spectral response and its implications and the question of the radiation-resistant properties of solar cells, especially those made of silico and GaAs are considered. An investigation will be made of the specific factors determining the radiation properties of n and p silicon solar cells with the ultimate aim of obtaining higher radiation-resistant cells.
