MASS TRANSFER IN THE HYPERSONIC LOW REYNOLDS NUMBER VISCOUS LAYER

Abstract

A study is presented of the low Reynolds number effects encountered by a re-entry vehicle traveling at hypersonic speeds in the Earth's atmosphere. Included are real gas effects such as dissociation, and mass transfer from the surface.
