A PLASMA SOURCE FOR A HIGH VACUUM

Abstract

A description is given of an experimental apparatus for producing plasma by means of the mixing of electron and ion beams in a vacuum system with a pressure drop. A plasma was produced which had a density of 10 to the 12th to the 13th power/cc in a vessel evacuated to 0.0002 mm Hg. (Author)
