CLOSED FORM EXACT SOLUTION FOR THE FIRST PARTIAL DERIVATIVES OF CONCENTRATIONS OF CHEMICALLY REACTING MIXTURES IN EQUILIBRIUM, SPECIFIC HEATS, AND RELATED QUANTITIES

Abstract

Closed form equations for the partial derivatives of concentrations, Cln T and ClnT(i) (i) for an ideal mixture of 30 species in air at high temperatures were derived. This treatment was also extended to include Debye-Huckel corrections and additional multiply ionized species. The resulting equations can be applied to a variety of mixtures, e.g., hydrogen-oxygen, so long as for the input the concentrations are given with internal energies and heats of formation. (Author)
