THE PRESSURE DEPENDENCE OF THE MOSSBAUER EFFECT; LINE SHIFTS

Abstract

The effect of pressure on the so-called second order shift and some numerical es imates of the magnitude of this dependence are discussed. The design of pressure equipment for studies of these effects and upon the influence on the Mossbauer effect of coupling between electronic and vibrational states of crystals is also presented.
