INVESTIGATION OF ATMOSPHERIC REFRACTION AND FILM SHRINKAGE

Abstract

An investigation was initiated of t rror i ri l p otograp y u to atmospheric refractio and film shrinkage. Tables for atmospheric refraction were computed for varying ltitudes ranging fro o 5, 0,000 feet. hese computatio s were based on th theory developed in arli r tech ical report (AD-272 586) duri g this study. T e fil rinkage stu y inclu ed calibrating a base grid, exposi g the base grid on two types of film measuring the shrinkages of the film, and reducing the data both graphically and an lytically.
