AN APPROXIMATE STREAMTUBE METHOD TO DETERMINE THE EQUILIBRIUM FLOW FIELD ABOUT A BLUNT BODY TRAVELING AT SUPERSONIC SPEEDS

Abstract

An approximate streamtube method is presented to determine the flow field in the frontal portion of a spherical body under the assumption that the gas is in thermodynamic equilibrium. Numerical results of this method are compared with a previously determined solution. (Author)
