ANGULAR SEGMENTATION METHOD,

Abstract

The angular segmentation method for calculating numerical approximations to solutions of the Boltzmann transport equation is developed for a spherically symmetric shield system. Anisotropic elastic scattering is assumed. Energy-group transfer coefficients are developed by using the Dirac function. A general matrix formulation for the anisotropic case is constructed. These procedures are applied to the computation of angular neutron distributions and total neutron distributions. (Author)
