X-RAY DISTRIBUTION FROM SOURCES OPERATING AT FIVE TO FIFTEEN MILLION ELECTRON VOLTS

Abstract

The forward spectrum for a thick target was calculated for electrons with incident energy of 10, 15, 20, and 30 moc sq. (1 m sub o c squared = 0.511 mev). The angular distribution was computed for incident electron energies of 20 and 30 moc sq. To supplement these computations, the thin target bremsstrahlung was computed for several incident electron energies and apertures of the beam. A hardness factor was also computed for the thin targets. The equations for the thick target forward spectrum and the thin target spectrum were coded for the Burroughs 204 Digital computer. (Author)
