THE MEASUREMENT OF ADVANCED FLIGHT VEHICLE CREW PROFICIENCY IN SYNTHETIC GROUND ENVIRONMENTS
Abstract
Considerations in the design of systems for measuring the proficiency of advanced flight vehicle crews in synthetic ground enviro ments are presented. Emphasis is given to the logic of proficiency measurement and the general problems involved rather than to the analysis of specific d tails. A historical overview of aircrew proficiency measurement emphasizing early work an a list of s udy references on rating methods are appended. This report will be of interest to individuals directly concer ed with simulator training programs, proficiency evaluation and standardization, training standards, and training equipme t procurement for advanced flight systems.
